- What do I need?
A sense of fun and adventure is the most important thing, together with your personal gear. We suggest sunscreen, hat, towel, insect repellent camera, and some 50 cent coins in the event that you choose to shower at one of the camp grounds on the island. We can give you a suggested shopping list, and you can hire sleeping bags, and any other camping equipment you may need if you are doing the Freedom Private Hire.

Palace Backpackers Hervey Bay accommodation/hotel is located at 184 Torquay Road, Scarness, Hervey Bay. Click here to see the complete map going Palace Backpackers Hervey Bay Hostel. We meet the buses at the bust terminal, but if you are arriving by air, call us and we will collect you.
